There’s a group of “traders” on social media that have been bearish TSLA since 2013.
They call themselves “TSLAQ” – meaning they think the company is such a scam that it will eventually go bankrupt and de-list, which would require the stock to add a “Q” to the ticker.
They’ve been wrong. For over a decade.
But they still screech about how this month’s car delivery number is showing a massive slowdown and the company is headed to zero.
Yet there’s a very clear signal that the company is giving us.
The bull case right now is no longer about automotive manufacturing, but in their Robotaxi. If they can offer a “car as a service,” then they can create an asset that spits out more cash flow and increases their bottom line.
There’s also the software they have built in the Full Self Driving suite. I’m not sure they would do this, but they could lease the software to other automotive makers which would give them 80%+ margins on those sales.
Either of those moves would cause a paradigm shift in the stock.
But that’s not what they’re telling us.
To get the exact signal, you can simply head over to their Investor Relations page:
Why does Tesla, a car company, have zero pictures of cars on their IR website?
Because they aren’t a car company. They’re a robot company.
Cars are just robots with wheels.
The next big play for Tesla is their Optimus robot. The market for humanoid robots is about to explode as costs are down significantly.
If I could lease a robot for $600 bucks a month, and all it did was fold my laundry? I’m in.
Now think about the industrial applications, the warehouses, and all the small logistical tasks that we pay entry level workers to do… the entire economy is going to be reshaped faster than we think.
I’m a techno optimist. We’re seeing revolutions in healthcare and robotics that change how we think about trade and deficits and capitalism and geopolitics and energy. The second-order effects haven’t yet been priced into the markets, and that’s how we can get our edge.
I recently wrapped up a new report on this – I believe it will be “Tesla 2.0,” and I’ve found some really interesting ways to play it…
